Testosterone topical gel is used to treat the symptoms of low testosterone in men who do not produce enough natural testosterone.

If used in that sense, I believe has been proven that one could build more muscle than when they had low testosterone levels. Many "older" bodybuilders also supplement with testosterone for various reasons, so it's plain to see that it plays a big role in the effectiveness of one's training regimen.

Hormones are very sensitive however, so if your taking this supplement for the heck of it and do not have low testosterone levels, you could easily experience more undesirable side effects than it would be worth taking for muscle gain in my honest opinion.
