Androgel Side Effects (Top voted first)

Used AndroGel for over four months in 2010 and actually increased my ability to have erections. But at about the four or five month mark I noticed my breast area was growing and suddenly I developed enlarged breasts to the point that I was ashamed to go anywhere without wearing a baggy shirt. I became very depressed and quit using AndroGel. The problem continued and even got worse with regard to the man tits. Help!!!

Hi Jack,

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. Based on my research, one of the side effects of AndroGel is breast swelling or tenderness. I assume that in time, the AndroGel will completely leave your system and your chest will reduce to a normal size.

There's a pretty good chance your gynocomastia is being caused by your Estradiol going too high. It's not a direct side effect of AG it's more the side effect of T being converted to Estrogen. Go look up Estradiol and Testosterone and you'll find some entries

I am on Androgel 1% - 1 pump a day for last 6 weeks. Two weeks ago I got a painless ulcer on my lower lower lip. The ulcer has liquid filled in it. Its is a side effect of Androgel? Is it serious?
I never had a mouth ulcer for at least 10 years now because I take regular vitamin substitutes.
