I recently had a drug test and tested positive for Amphetamine. I have no idea what that is or how I could have tested positive for it. Someone please help.....I take generics for Zoloft, Ropinirole, Geodon, Trazodone, Pantoprazole, Zyrtec, and Klonopin.

At the time I was very sick and was on Prednisone, Combivent inhaler, Benzonatate, and Advair amongst Nyquil at times and Advil cold and sinus. Please get back to me asap if any of these test positive for amphetamines.

I have been taking tru vision supplements for weight loss for about 2 months. I took a blood test and it came back positive for cocaine, I DO not use drugs other than what is prescribed for my blood pressure and water pills. I have taken many tests, but this is the first time it came back positive?? Is there any ingredient in this product, tru control tru fix by tru vision products?,

My sister had took a saliva drug test on wednsday and results came back negative friday 2 days late they did another swab n it came back positive for amphetamine she has not done any drugs only thing she took was tylonal cold & flu because she had got sick really bad and now there saying she been useing methamphetamine. Can tylonal cold &flu give a false positive test

I am a chemist. I take adderall by rx daily. I am on probation and take routine urinalysis tests. And I fail for methamphetamine routinely. Adderall is a broad spectrum amphetamine meaning it actually has a racemic mixture of 4 different amphetamine salts. None of which are methamphetamine. The problem I have is entrusting my legal battles in the hands of non qualified probation officers to take a very complex analysis of my urine metabolites. They can be just short of being troglodytes and are trained to react and not to think. But it is not all their fault. I partially blame the manufacturers of the test kits for labeling all amphetamines in the colloquial term methamphetamine. This sends an immediate red flag to the P.O. and results in needless stress and jail time for me. But once again I am guilty until proven innocent. If this happens to you demand that an outside lab run the very same positive sample on a ms/gc if they are willing to do this to prove you're not taking methamphetamine. I’d be curious to hear from anyone else going through this.

I too am on the suboxone program. I was reading all these posts and there are a lot of things OTC that can cause false positives like zantac, noz energy drinks, tylenol pm or any pm OTC meds. Also trazodone can test positive for amphetamines.

I took a urine test and they are accusing me of taking Adderall. I have been taking Sudafed, Benadryl, Loratadine, Prednisone, Cetirizine, Montelukast and Oxycodone as prescribed. Would any of them come up with the same result?

That's not true, there are multiple types of amphetamines, and have different speeds and types of decay rates, and will read as amphetamine regardless, because they are a type of amphetamine. And some times the combination of hormone therapy mixed with various types of meds will read as amphetamine, because of how they affect the metabolic rate.

It seems possible. It's been happening to me for the last 10 yrs. I'm on a methadone program which requires urine testing and mine have been amphetamine positive ever since I was put on Atenololine for high blood pressure

I am on a Methadone blockade program and I also take Atenolol. I have been returning Amphetamine (type substance) positives on urine drug screens for 8 yrs. The pathology results say further testing required. The health department has concluded that the Atenolol is the cause and I don't lose my privileges anymore.
