I have ADD and take Amphetamine Salts. Lately my feet and ankles have been badly swollen. Is this caused from the Amphetamine Salts? Should I be worried if my feet and ankles are swelling from using amphetamine salts? What is my alternative in medication for ADD if the Amphetamine Salts is causing the swelling?

In and of itself, Adderall doesn't cause edema, but it can cause elevated blood pressure and elevated heart rate, which can cause edema and, if that is the case, it can be dangerous and needs to be treated.
Before recommending an alternative medication, you need to get to the root of this problem.
Other side effects of this medication, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include headache, irritability, nervousness and insomnia.
