Ampheta S Combo

I am trying to find out who manufactures this medication. I have been to my pharmacy multiple times and keep being told it is on backorder. Under normal situations I would just look elsewhere but my insurance company insists I use only this pharmacy. I need to contact the manufacturer to see if there is a remedy for this ongoing situation.

The mixed Amphetamine Salts is actually a generic product, so it is made by several different companies, so I really have no way of knowing who made the one that you were receiving from your pharmacy.

However, from what I am reading on the FDA Drug Shortages page, all 3 major manufacturers have reported shortages in their supply, though there is no detailed explanation as to why.

These manufacturers are Shire, which makes the name brand, Teva and Global. Shire has reported an improvement in their supply, Global has a small supply and is allocating it, according to demand and Teva has listed that they are releasing it on demand, as it comes available.
