I just found a bunch of these pills in my sisters backpack. I'm pretty sure she doesn't have a bacterial infection. She has had trouble with alcohol and drugs before so I just want to make sure if its something serious or not for I can consult it with my parents. ## These tablets are just antibiotics, they contain 500mgs of Amoxicillin, so isn't something she could be using to get high or anything. I have a UTI, I am going crazy, my Dr. can't get me in for four days and there is no way I can take any more of this. Dosing for the tablet: Adults - Administer 1 tablet (625mg) at a time, 3 times a day every 8 hours. For dry syrup.: -Children 7-11 years - Administer 8ml syrup at a time, 3 times a day every 8 hours. -Children 3-6 years - Administer 5ml syrup at a time, 3 times a day every 8 hours. -Children 9months-2years - Administer 2.5ml syrup at a time, 3 times a day every 8 hours. I am taking amox clav 875 mg 2x/day with little to no side effects. If you will take a probiotic (eg. acidopholus) or eat yogurt with live and active cultures when you take this medication (or any antibiotic) you will avoid or significantly reduce the side effects related to the gut, especially diarrhea.
