what is the shelf life of amoxicillin 45 ## These contain 500mgs of Amoxicillin and, if they have been dispensed in a pharmacy bottle, then the normal shelf life is 1 year from when you had it filled. After that year, they start to lose effectiveness. If they are in the original factory sealed container, their shelf life may be longer. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Could you please provide a citation that shows there is a minimum of one year of shelf life after the prescription is filled?

I just took left over amoxicillin and nitrofur for a Uti that just became really bad. I'm hoping this will hold me over until I can call my dr tomorrow. it has gg o n the left side an n7 on the right side. it,s a white pill.amox/k clav875 125tabsandoz for tooth infection ## To answer your question, yes, you can take these pills for a tooth infection. Amoxicillin is included in the list of popularly prescribed antibiotics for tooth infections. Its effectiveness however, depends on how far the tooth infection has spread; and if required, combination therapy is followed. The effectiveness of amoxicillin for addressing tooth infection also largely depends upon taking it in correct dosage, which is decided by the concerned doctor. A common dosing method for a tooth infection is taking one pill 3 times a day, (i.e., after every 8 hours) for 10 days. I would recommend checking with your doctor to verify what might be best for you though. I hop...

As part of flu, I had congetion with flum accumulation. Tried a course of mild antibiotics 250 mg but still traces of flum used to come out with cough. So I thought of taking Amox-500 mg (it was available at home). After taking tablet I realized that I shouldn't have taken such a strong dose and now I want to stop. I was prescribed this 4 days ago for a horrible ear infection brought on by a sinus infection, and no relief. I am wondering if it's not bacterial and maybe should be prescribed something different to relieve the pressure and pain? ## Amoxicillin with Clavulanic Acid, the active ingredients in Augmentin, is an antibiotic that is used to treat certain types of infections. However, it can take 5 to 7 days to reach its full effect and will not work as a pain reliever. And, as with any medication, it doesn't always work for everyone that tries it, so if your pain, or infection have not improved, you should contact your doctor. Are there any other questions or comments?
