Amoxicillin Over Prescribed

Hi I was prescribed 500mg tablets of Amoxicillin and told to take 4 tablets twice a day together with a PPI and one other antibiotic of 250mg twice a day. The dose of amoxicillin seems quite high? Any advice please

I forgot to mention that the treatment is for H Pylori, I've looked the treatment up online and it says 1g per day of Amoxicillin and I've been prescribed 4g
