Amoxicillin - 39 Lb Daughter For Ear Infection

Hi, my daughter has a possible ear infection and the doctor prescribed her 400mg/5ml, 6mls 3 x a day. I was wondering if that was too much? In the past she has only taken it 2x a day.

It is usually prescribed for children based on weight and the severity of the infection being treated, so it would be best to follow the doctor's prescribing instructions.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.
