Was hospitalized after recieving a gardasil vaccine with a strange adverse effect of obtaining a very painful middle ear infection that i could not stand the pain. the anti-biotic i was perscribed was amox tr-k clv 875-125 twice a day. i am having some serious issues when i use the bathroom to keep the discussion lightly. i only have 2 more days left of the perscription and i still cannot hear and feel pressure in my ear. have i gone through all of this stomach pain for nothing? someone who is experienced with this type of medication please respond with advice. thank you

Amoxicillin with Clavulanic Acid, the active ingredients in Augmentin is an antibiotic used to treat various types of infections.

The diarrhea problem can be a common side effect, however, it could also be aggravated by the infection.

If it is that severe and you are still having a problem in your ear, you should contact your doctor, as you may require a different medication to clear up the problem.

There is also the possibility that the problem wasn't strictly caused by an infection.
