My 12 month old niece may have swallowed one of my grandmother's antibiotic pills. My sister and grandmother are both enroute the the emergency room with her, but we would like to know if this is severely harmful to her.

Amoxicillin with Clavulanic Acid is a generic for Augmentin, as you stated is an antibiotic. It is also used in children, but the dosage is usually lower, because it is based on their age and weight.
It's most likely that the ER would keep an eye on a child this age, for awhile, to watch out for any possible symptoms of toxicity, such as nausea or extreme drowsiness, as well as watching for signs of an allergic reaction.
