My husband is taking this for a sinus infection and his lip after taking the pill swelled to three times it's size. Is this a side effect?

I was wondering the same thing. I have taken this twice within 6 months for a sinus infection and both times that area was affected. I know it decreases the effectiveness of birth control meds but seriously this is annoying!

Taking AMOX TR-K CLV 875-125 mg TAB. I have been taking this medication for 4 days to clear up a sinus infection and now i'm suffering from vaginal irritation since taking this medication. Is this a side affect from this medication?

My son (49) after taking Levofloxacin 500mg for 3 days the oral surgeon discontinued it because he developed an allergic reaction which I went to his primary to find out what the cause of a rash and other symptoms. The oral surgeon gave him another antiobiotic amox tr-k clv 875 -125mg tab which we gave after one day repreave. In the meantime he continues to have diarreah and rash and we have discovered that he also has gallstones and a polyp on the gallbladder and a lesion on his liver which I believe has developed from the irritation of the gallbladder problem which is to be removed asap. He has no appetite and I have to coax him to eat anything, I have been successful in that at least I have been able to get him to eat a cracker with his other meds, also he feels full all the time and he also is mildly (retarded) mentally challenged because of a brain tumor being successfully removed 10 yrs. ago and took radiation for a certain duration. Not only that, some of the meds that he has and is being treated for depression and dementia, is causing more hopelessness that we fight against everyday. I feel that the depression was prevailent while he was in the nursing home for 10 years which there was nowhere that they could place him because he is able to function to an extent, a normal life, which is boring and depressing for a 49 year old. He is now out of the nursing home living with his mom and stepdad with a home he can call home as we accept the challenges we need to and give him the support he needs. The only thing that keeps him in a subnormal life is the seizures which are at the least twice a day and only last for maybe 30 seconds at the max he said he can hear and see but cannot move or speak at all and the inability to administer the meds he needs on his own, this includes psych drugs which we are in the process of finding help to get him to the minimum.
When he comes out of the seizures he denies he had one. This is more than I anticipated to say but, all these things come into play and my question is this; would it do any harm to give him imodium while taking amox tr-k clv 875-125 mg tab and did the surgeon do what was in his best interest? Should I give pro-biotics to build his system back on track or does it make a difference in his case taking Keppra for the seizures and citopram, risperidone, and abilify?

I took amoxicillin tr-k clv 875-125mg tab as prescribed by my doctor I have been depressed agitated nervous and my face swelled on left side I discontinued use. that was 2 days ago I am still all of the above my face no longer swollen but everything eles is the same shakes extreme tired how long will these symptoms last

I have been taking amox trk clv 875-125 mg for about three days now, to treat a sinus infection, and have noticed i feel agitated and slightly edgey almost anxious and a little shakey. Is this normal and will my body adjust or is this not normal ? should I discontinue use?

No, that is not a normal side effect of this antibiotic and he should contact his doctor immediately, that seems more like it may be an allergic reaction, of some sort, and he will likely need to try a different antibiotic.
