Amox/k Clav 875-125mg Sandoz (potassium Content)

I am not allowed to have potassium, is this safe for me to take for a cough? I have COPD.

The K in the medication name stands for potassium, as listed by the FDA. So, since this medication is derived from a potassium salt, it may cause problems for you.

Additionally, this medication will not do anything to alleviate a cough, according to the NIH reports it is a an antibiotic and will only help with treating or preventing bacterial infections.
