Amox K Clav 500 125 Wheezing Chest

I have a cough, wheezing chest and congestion, I've been taking OTC cold and cough for 3 days with no luck curing this condition. I have some Amox/K Clav 500mg left over form an other infection...will this work on what I now have?

Hi Mike,

I'm sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well. Amox/ K Clav (Amoxicillin + Clavulanate Potassium) will only help if the cough you are experiencing is caused by an upper respiratory infection. You could take the medication, but if it doesn't work the cough probably just needs to run its course.

If I can recommend anything, it would be the essential oils Peppermint, Lavender, and Copaiba along with honey to sooth the throat. If you are interested in purchasing any of these oils, I would check out Young Living. I've used Copaiba oil for the same problems you're experiencing and it really helped.
