Amount Of Dosage

I have a chest cold that won't go away. My doctor recommend I take Amox K Clav 500 125- 1 pill, 3 times a day. I am a small person and weigh under 75lbs. Do consider that dosage be too much for someone my size for the next 10 days?

This is a generic for the antibiotic Augmentin and chest cold is caused by a virus, which would not respond to an antibiotic, so its likely that it has turned into an infection.

And yes, that is the usual adult dosage for a severe infection, one tablet every 8 hours for 7 to 10 days.
