Amneal Pharmaceuticals Hydrocodone 10-325 (Page 8) (Top voted first)
UpdatedI have been taking hydrocodone 10-325 (made by Watson) for about a year. I picked up my prescription yesterday and instead of the normal yellow pill, I received a white oblong pill imprinted with m367 on it. I took 2 for breakthrough pain and had no relief what-so-ever. I called the pharmacy and was told that they will no longer be able to get the med from Watson. Does anyone know what has happened? I have chronic pain, and these white ones from Amneal Pharmaceuticals is not going to cut it. Has anyone else experienced this?
Re: Jb (# 210)
Do you have any studies of your statement? I know people who have been taking the those medications 18+ years for chronic pain and have nothing wrong systemic, liver, kidneys or stomach. But they have had better life quality and minimal Dr office visits until the medications were changed about 7-8 years ago. I have proof of massive debt by hospitals and Dr. offices.
Re: Jb (# 209)
I can vouch that's the truth and I went through this last month when I was on vacation. I had to use 2 diffrent pharmacies both carried a diffrent brand and the pharmacy upstate gave me a crap generic and when I had it filled at home when I got back the brand they use at my pharmacy was noticeably better. Each company is using different fillers and I think there may be possibility something in that could be why. I'm not someone who uses them on a regular basis but I have MS and had a few bad falls because I'm in a flair.
I can remember when vicodine came out, I wish it would have been out back when I cut my fingers off. I know pain REAL PAIN, YOU CAN'T SEE IT, AND NOBODY BUT THE PERSON IN PAIN FEELS IT, SO STOP JUDGING SOMEONE OVER YOUR BAD CHOICES WITH DRUGS ITS NOT COOL ESPECIALLY ON A PAGE THAT IS HERE TO HELP ESPLAIN THE DIFFRENT ISSUES!
Re: Debbie I (# 3)
Yes it's 11 years later, but my Amneal script is junk.
I woke up to withdrawls while taking this for chronic pain.
That should never happen.
Yes and Several people I know. My back is broken in six places plus nerve damage. This is the third or fourth time they have taken on thier own to save a buck and send another generation of pills that I know have less strength.
I think its strange that my Husband when Prescribed Norco's they are white oval with pink dots,Then when I'm perscribed the same name they're plain white ovals it that their different milligrams
I had same thing happen. N the one hydrocodone (generic) is not as strong. N others are more expensive. So I switched to percocetts.
Re: Debbie I (# 3)
Amneal are not effective and cause nausea. Before having your prescription electronically filled, make sure you contact a pharmacy that doesnt carry it!
Yes it’s like taking a tic tac and the sad thing is my Pharmacy won’t exchange it!!!
Re: Basil (# 38)
Thank-you for your comment on the "Watson" and sub-strength issue of the interference of hydrocodone by those involved. I'm staying with a stomach issue (pain) because of Amneal and will talk to the doctor shortly. Will not continue seeing him if something of greater strength is not prescribed. I have Sciatic nerve problems and unfixable chronic back issues. They wouldn't operate and now the herniated discs have calcified and press on the nerve. They actually admitted that because I was on Medicare they wouldn't operate even though Medicare said they would pay more (by phone) but to no avail. Greed! Not sure that a free Rx Discount card will help. I have Walmart Humana drug insurance and I still pay most of the cost and they went up at beginning of this year, like everyone else, as you know.
Please see the letter below that I received from Amneal pharmaceuticals! Hope this helps!

The AMNEAL Norco 10-325 tablets are imprinted with IP 110. I think you are using something from another manufacturer.
Re: Paul (# 44)
No, it's definitely Amneal MFG. It's print is IP110, oblong with score in middle! If I could post picture I would,I am sure!!! Thx!
Re: Paul (# 44)
Yes it’s correct- Amneal is Ip110 the bottle reflects the manufacturer as Amneal with confirmation from Walgreens of the recent change in manufacturers.
Re: Kimber (# 49)
I did the same thing after my experience with Amneal I called the other pharmacy”s Walgreens was the only one in the area that switched to Amneal.
Re: Patti (# 57)
Thank you Patti! Im going to contact the FDA. Do you have the info I need so I can talk to the same person you did? I want to get Amneal out of here!! Its obvious they are shady and have something to hide!! They played the same phone games with me!! It makes me feel like its run out of someones garage!! Professional companies done behace this way!!
Thank you so much for getting on the case too!!
Kimber (# 52)
Most pharmacists do not pay attention to things like that. Even if it is really noted on your profile. Which I seriously doubt. They only have Allergic Reactions flagged on profiles. If you have not had an Allergic Reaction that required going to the hospital. Do not expect them to list that on your profile. If you tell the pharmacist you had to go to the hospital. The pharmacist might verify with your doctor.
You might want to talk to your doctor about him writing a Specific Generic Manufacturer on your prescription AND checking or writing Selection Not Permitted. That way, the pharmacy has to fill your prescription with the Generic Manufacturer your doctor writes. Of course, if they do not have that specific Generic Manufacturer you cannot have it filled for another generic of your choosing.. You will have to wait for them to get it in. Or find a pharmacy that carries that Generic Manufacturer.
Re: BL (# 59)
Thanks, I am really sick with this amneal product!! I mean nausea & cramps. I am weak. Calling my doctor in the am!! Uuhhgg!!!!
Re: Lynn (# 60)
Some doctors will not do this. Some do not think there is much, if any, difference in generics. But it won't hurt to ask.
Re: Kimber (# 65)
