Amneal Pharmaceuticals Hydrocodone 10-325 (Page 10) (Top voted first)
UpdatedI have been taking hydrocodone 10-325 (made by Watson) for about a year. I picked up my prescription yesterday and instead of the normal yellow pill, I received a white oblong pill imprinted with m367 on it. I took 2 for breakthrough pain and had no relief what-so-ever. I called the pharmacy and was told that they will no longer be able to get the med from Watson. Does anyone know what has happened? I have chronic pain, and these white ones from Amneal Pharmaceuticals is not going to cut it. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have the same problem with Amneal cvs switched and didn’t tell me they don’t work for pain at all and I have upset stomach heartburn and terrible nightmares
10-325 is oxycodone percocet the m367 is hydrocodone not as strong as the yellow pills you were given
Re: Patsysd (# 147)
What state did they pull them off the shelves I’m so glad Amneal is finally being recognized as bad medicine
Re: Led (# 152)
On most cases I would agree with u until I had 3 different meds do this. A beta blocker, a proton pump inhibitor and an opioid. All three brands were changed at different times. All 3 new generics were much less effective! The qualitiest hydrocodone/acetaminophen worked much better than mallincrodt or amneal products. I didn’t build tolerance overnight.
Re: w john (# 143)
U r right ! We r bullied! It’s politically incorrect to take be pro opioid. I thought it was politically incorrect to bully disabled people... people in chronic pain are disabled! We r afraid to speak up about any wrong or abuse because we r at risk of being labeled negatively. I complained to pharmacist about defective generic opioid they just look at u ! If I say same about a proton pump inhibitor. They engage and report complaints immediately. I had older 5mg Watson hydrocodone m/apap pill that I found in my bag. Took it and had pain relief. Took my new amneal 10 mg hydrocodone/apap and nothing
I’ve had the same problem with hydrocodone and also Adderall with some brands not working while others do.
But on the Adderall, even the same pills get changed about every 3 months, working, then about 3 months not working. I’ve gone thru this with every manufacture that works for me on the Adderall. I’ve found that if I rotate between the ones that work for me, every 4th month, I hit about 90% getting a pill that personally works for me, every time.
On the HYDROCODONE, I think it started a little over a year ago, I’ve been taking this medication for 12 years and all of a sudden I was getting meds that were not working for my chronic pain. That’s when I talked to the pharmacist to ask why this is happening. I learned about the rule of % they can deviate, so I had to start paying attention to which manufacturers worked for me personally.
I have 2 that are effective to my pain relief needed; Mallincrofdt and Watson.
So every month when I see my pain doctor, I keep my prescription on hand and when I’m at a point that I can go out the door to fill my prescription,
I begin by calling my regular pharmacy, and I have them check their system, to find out if they have either of the meds that work for me as stated above, if they do not, I have them check their system for any of their other locations). If not, I go to Walgreens next to check their locations, I can usually find it within these 2 phone calls, but have had to search further or wait a number of days till my brand was shipping in. I refuse to but a month worth of meds that will not work for me any longer.
In both cases, I have built up like 20 backup pills so when this happens I don’t run completely out, that took me awhile, but I did it, and I try to rebuild it thru that next month to have again if it happens. It’s way better to suffer a little while building up, than to get a months worth of s***!
My pain doctor knows and understands why I do this 20 pill back up. I see complaints constantly about people and their pain doctors. My pain doctor,is the most wonderful, caring, conscientious doctor I’ve ever known in any of the medical fields. He takes specimens regularly and I don’t blame him, but he is all about the patient and doing what he can to help relieve their pain. He even asked me if I wanted to try using some compounded creams and patches for pain relief while giving me the same amount for one month so I could see if it worked for me. I did, and I was able to start using them regularly and cut down pain pills by 1, and then months later successfully cutting down another pill also. He doesn’t force anything on anyone, he just wants to help the best he can. He tries different things till he finds what right for each person, and he gives the best shots, radiofrequency shots plus many other types, I was afraid of needles till I went to him. If anyone needs a referral in Salt Lake City area, let me know, i believe he’s one of a kind, which all my referred people all feel the same way about him.
I hope this helps someone out there to get the constant pain relief that us chronic pain patients need and deserve to get when we fill our prescriptions. And I would think that if your pain doctor is one of those that doesn’t care about you, there has to be another one by you who does, prayers and blessings to you all.

Great, please let us know the outcome. Thanks.
Re: Elaine (# 23)
If they take the narcotic part out, which is hydrocodone, then you will just be taking acetaminophen. So I believe you are mistaken or very misinformed
I had the same experience with amneal with negative side effects. I switched pharmacies and now get Rhodes they are better but won’t replace your Watson’s
Re: shunka (# 163)
It leaves us even worse. So we fight to get docs to treat properly. We fight to get government from between pain patients and docs. So now we have to deal with a supply problem. Bet the illicit drugs won’t have supply problem. Except, chronic pain patients like me won’t go to street for illegal drugs for relief. I will have to suffer miserably or take my own life if I can’t tolerate the chronic 24/7 pain.
Re: Dano (# 2)
With all of the issues with the opiod pain relievers i am baffled as to what to do. I, too, received the Amneal pills from Walgreens and was also told that "this is all we have and all we will be getting". The Watson hydrocodone is no longer manufactured. Also, the formulation for he remaining manufactureres of the hydrocodeone pills have been drastically changed. Simply, they attempted to remove the properties of the pill that cause a person to have a mood enhancement but that was also accompanied by removing the pain relief qualities. Btw,the Watson brand is still around for some medications but NOT hydrocodone.
Re: Randy (# 145)
I have several chronic pain disorders and I was changed over to this brand and felt no relief at all, I thought maybe it was a placebo. Maybe the doctor should know that this medication. My insurance stopped covering it, what a sad situation.
Re: Marc (# 150)
Most Pharmacies that I know of Have a time released safe. I know there was a big problem when the so called "opiod crisis" first started. Many times a person would come in and ask if a Pharmacy had a certain drug IN STOCK to fill an alleged prescription later that day one of their "associates" would come in and rob the place. The Pharmacies caught on to that scam pretty quick and told everyone that it would probably be in the next day. They would then call you up a little later that day and said if you brought in your prescription they could fill it. I was told this by a large chain.
Re: Mona (# 149)
Quit looking for the Watson brand opiod because it has not been manufactured since 2016.
Re: James (# 16)
Amneal is the only one that works for my back pain
Re: Heather (# 162)
Thank you for info on Rhodes. Are you still receiving that in 2022? I will ask my pharm in Dallas for Rhodes. Currently carrying Mallincrap. Thank you
Re: Oklahoma Suffering (# 170)
What were you taking previously? In Dallas they're filling with Mallinckrodt.
Re: Patty (# 158)
Thank you for your response. I feel you. I wish we'd be able to get the brands that work best for us, all the time.
The TEVA Adderall generic works the best for me in that drug. Now I'm looking to find Caraco in Dallas for hydrocodone. That works better than Mallinckrodt for me.
Appreciate the referral offer in SLC. Looking for a new Doc in Dallas. I guess one that's more helpful and understanding.
Re: Pedro (# 15)
Isn’t the yellow considered Vicon now?
Re: Mechelle (# 177)
Wow! No wonder! That's terrible!
