Gabapentin is an anticonvulsant medication that has also been proven to help with certain types of nerve pain, so yes, it is often prescribed to patients suffering from Fibromyalgia.

As with any medication, it is effective for some and not for others.

Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and weight gain.
