I take several different medicines each day. How should I space the time when taking them? Is all at once okay? Or should I take them at different times each day? ## I am sorry, but without knowing what medications they are, to check for any contraindications, we cannot possibly guess. Has your doctor or pharmacist given you any specific advice on this? Some medications can be taken together, but there are some that do have to be spaced apart. If you post back with a list of what they are, I'll be glad to see what I can find out for you! ## I am to take these medications once each day and I wanted to know if I can take them all at once or should I take them at different times of the day: Amlodipine Besylate Coenzyme Q-10 Calcium Carbonate + D Potassium Chloride Simvastatin Triamtere...

That's not an extremely high amount to take, but the NIH warns that you may experience more side effects than usual, which may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. However, there is a chance your blood pressure could drop too low, so if you find yourself feeling extremely dizzy, fainting or having trouble breathing, you should seek medical attention.

Blood pressure meds are not recreational drugs. You could kill yourself. If you want your feet to swell and heart to stop, well sounds like a risky buzz to me if any. I have taken it for months now and I assure you, no opiate type effects. Your blood pressure will drop, might make you dizzy but no fun there and too much can kill you. My advice to you my friend is this: Don't play with this med. It is for cardiac patients with serious needs to help control heart. A fine line here. As far as getting buzzed on pills, man, leave it alone.

My wife is thinking of using a menopause cream containing grapefruit seed extract. She also takes amlodipine 5mg. There appears to be a potential risk with grapefruit products taken orally, but would this also apply to applying a 1/8th teaspoon of cream containing grapefruit seed extract? ## Hello, Andy! How are you and your wife? Not that I'm aware of, but it is always best to double check such information. However, generally, a person doesn't absorb enough of a topical cream to cause problems. I have been taking 5mg for seven days only and found myself feeling so lethargic. If I'm to just stop taking this, is it dangerous or should i take half of 5mg to reduce sudden withdrawal symptoms? ## Hello, Karen! How are you? That can be a side effect of this medication, however, if you are treating high blood pressure or a cardiac condition, it is far more dangerous to stop taking it and let them continue uncontrolled. Side effects are typically transient and go away with time, once your body gets used to the medication, but that may take 4 to 5 weeks. The FDA lists other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?

How are you? First of all, you should be aware that this medication must be taken consistently, every day, in order to reach its full level of efficacy in your body to control your blood pressure. You can't skip days or just take it, when you feel you need it. As to the drop, no, it would be best to continue taking it as directed by your doctor and not to lower it, unless they specifically instruct you to do so. Suppose to be oxycofone 15 mg round light green pill with a curved E line down middle and 7 on the other side of line and nothing on other side ## Hi Patti, Does the letter "E" on your pill look anything like "Epic Pharma's Amlodipine Besylate" tablet imprinted with E 55? I'm just picking this pill as an example since you can easily find an image of it on Google. Their letter E is curved as you stated, so I thought this may at least help determine who the manufacturer could be. Epic Pharma also makes a round green 15mg Oxycodone. However I'm not able to locate a photograph of it to verify the placement of each marking. I think your best bet may be to take the pill over to a local pharmacy as they should be able to vouch for its legitimacy. Please post back if...

I take amlodipine in the morning for high bp and a water pill, at night I take Losartan and Lorazepham and I am on flexeril and 5mg of percocet 3x day for back pain. My BP is so high at night I can feel the heart beat in my fingertips and i lay awake for hours. I read where if I take potassium at night it will help to lower my BP. Is this true and if so, could it eliminate my BP meds at night. doc says it is stress related and rises when I am in pain. ## Hello, Shar! How are you? You should not take potassium, in addition to the Losartan, unless your doctor specifically says you should, because Losartan can also raise your potassium levels and building up too much of it in your body can be very dangerous. Have you actually checked your blood pressure at night, or are you just assuming i...
