American Equivalent Drug Numbers: Z-pak And Pseudoephedrine (Top voted first)

I was prescribed a Z-Pak (Azithromycin, 250 mg) and pseudoephedrine hydrochloride (60 mg) on a cruise and now my insurance company wants the American equivalent drug numbers for them.

I think you are talking about the NDC number. It is a seven digit number - and the easiest is to do a search on internet of the medication and dosage - ie: Zithromycin 250 mgm and you should get all sorts of results.

Yes, if they want the National Drug Code number for them, it is going to vary depending on the manufacturer, dosage, and etc.

Can you provide any further details on the medications you were prescribed, such as markings on them? Manufacturers names, or etc.?

The FDA lists the typical side effects of these medications as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, diarrhea, non-allergic skin rash, and nervousness.
