Ambien 10mg Still Can't Sleep (Top voted first)

Why is it that I take a 10mg ambient, fall right asleep for about 2 hours then get up on and off throughout the night?

For some people, the regular release formulation of this medication only helps them to fall asleep, but not stay asleep.

However, there is a time released formulation called Ambien CR that is intended to help with that issue, so you may want ask your doctor about trying it.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, hallucinations, sleep actions and next day hangover-like effects.

I take half of a 10mg and chew it up. If I wake up a few hours later (often because of pain) I just chew up the other half and go back to sleep.
