Alvogen & Mallinckrodt Fentanyl Patch Shortage - 2023

Is there any way of finding out which pharmacies contract with certain distributors? My pharmacy informed me when I went in to fill my prescription that they've been unable to order the fentanyl patches I've been receiving (used to be Mallinckrodt, recently Alvogen), and tbh anytime things deviate from the norm they don't provide me with much information, are very difficult to communicate with, and not very helpful, so them trying to track down a distributor that does have them or arming me with information to remedy the situation some other way is pretty much out of the question. They probably have a contract with only one or two distributors anyway, and apparently they're the distributors experiencing shortage. I looked up fentanyl transdermal shortages and a post mentioning both Mallinckrodt and Alvogen show up with the last update dated earlier this month, but it does mention that Mylan has the strength of patches available. The next hurdle is that pharmacies aren't keen on providing information about scheduled substances, so a lot of them will just flat out deny having or being able to fill scripts for them. Does anyone know of pharmacies in the So Cal area that dispense Mylan fentanyl patches? (Hopefully Inland Empire, or San Diego County) Or any other brand that's not having a shortage right now? (I use the 100mcg strength) I have a perfectly legitimate script, and my doctor is willing to send it wherever, I just need a pharmacy that can fill it. Thx.

I can tell you that CVS and Rite Aid buy from the same distributor, and Walgreens and Walmart buy from a different distributor, but they share one. So basically when there was a huge Adderall shortage with CVS, Walgreens could get it. Also private pharmacies have more freedom to choose distributors, chains have to purchase from whoever corporate tells them they can use.

I cannot take oxycodone made by that manufacturer & Walgreens can order something else for me so I use them.
