Althea Pills And Nonstop Menstruation

My menstruation doesn't seem to stop and it's on its 10th day since I started taking Althea on the day my period started. Please help.

5 days lng tlga ako pg nagme-mens..pero nung ngstart ako magtake ng althea pills kasabay ng mens ko bkit hndi prin ntatapos ung mens ko...pang 10th day ng mens ko ngyon.

ganyan din ngyari sakin before sa diane 35 sbi nila its normal. i think kht s althea.

first time q gumamit ng althea pills nung april 12 2013 natapos ko yung isang pack tpos ng karuon q may 10 3 days sya tpos ng stop ng two days tpos spotting na gang ngyn meron parin normal lang po ba yun allmost 20 days na spotting nid q na po ba mg punta ng ob

Hi star,

I'm sorry to hear about the issues your experiencing. Based on my research, Althea contains the following active ingredients: Cyproterone acetate + Ethinyl estradiol. Those ingredients are combined to stop ovulation and prevent pregnancy.

When you first start taking the pill, your body isn't used to the additional hormones. It is somewhat of a shock to the body, therefore excess vaginal bleeding may occur. This is normal and can last for as long as 3 months, while your body adjusts to the medication. Seeing as you have been bleeding for 10 days, the bleeding should stop soon. However, if the bleeding does not stop I would contact a doctor immediately just to be safe.

The way it should work in the future, once your body becomes acclimated the medication, is your period should start within 2 to 3 days of taking your last tablet.

First time ko po nag take ng altheA pills naubos n po ang 21pills ko..tas pg ka ubos bili agad ako tas continue ang pg inum ko hindi ko kasi na intindihan yong 7 days free pill..ok lng b yun?Kaya pala hindi dumating ang mens ko continue kasi ang pag take ko.

Ask kolang po sana after ma take mona lahat ng day sa pill.. Kailan ka ulit mgbbleed? Ksi po ako natapos kona lahat nung dec 14. Till now dipa rin ako nagbbleed...

Relate ako dito sis..Tanong ko lang po, pano ba namin malalaman kong kailangan na po talaga naming magpatingin ulit sa doctor kasi ako 11 days na ang period ko while taking ALHEA pills at masakit pa poson ko...Medyo doubt na ako sa health ko kung ok pa ba...please I need your help, Ilang araw po ba masasabi namin na hindi na ok at dapat magpa chek-up sa doctor? thanx

Hi I'm using a Althea pills,I took first time first day of my monthly period which 1st.of February this year but why till now feb.16th I have bleeding or spotting .?..I am worrying about it?is this normal or should I stop using Althea planning to change it into Dianne pills.hope to get an answer soon as posible,thank you

Hi...gumamit ako ng diane 35 firstime ko gumamit nito sa unang araw ng period ko uminom nko tpos hindi parin ako ntatapos hanggang ngayon naubos ko n cya at bumili ulit ako ng isa pa...pero meron paring akong spotting...halos isang bwan n hlos n hindi humihinto mauubos ko nnmn ung pangalwang pkete...ngayon lng po ulig ako ngpills mula ng nanganak ako 6 yrs old npo ang ank ko..ntatakot ako kasi bkit hindi n cya humihinto khit n ligth means lng cya..bkit po ganun...normal lng b un..

same hir ng situation mo sis its been 15 days na nagspotting ako start using althea sa first 5 days malakas ang mens ko after succeeding days which is 15 days na now spotting pa rin effect kaya ng althea un sis? what happened to you pala sis ilang days nag stop or totally nawala ang spotting mo?

hello po. ng start mg pills. then nung pang 6th pill ko na nakalimutan ko inumin 10 pm ko siya lagi iniinom.nkalimutan ko 7am ko na nainom then nung gbi n un nkalimutan ko ulit dahil hindi ko naman nadala may pinuntahan kami. 4am ko na nainom. safe po ba if may mangyari samin ng husband ko? salamat

Hello po, first tym q nag take ng pills kac ni recomend kac sa akin ng ob q irregular kac ako. Im started taking althea pills 1st pack April 8, 2017 first day of my mens. Up until now nag mi mens parin ako. Nasa 4days na after i finish my 1st pack. This may 6 2017 starting taking 2nd pack should i continue taking althea? Or should i stop? Hindi parin matapos tapos ang mens hangang ngayun. Is this normal? Im starting worrying now. I need help.

Hi! My OB prescribed Althea pills as this could prevent me from having dysmennorhea. I took it on the 1st day of my period (Feb 3) and have been taking it for 6 days. However, I'm slightly worried because I only have the usual 5-day period and yet today, on my 7th day, there are still secretions (though it's not that heavy anymore). Is it normal? This is my first time to use a pill and I really have no idea on how it works.
