What happens if you take Althea immediately after intercourse? Will it get you pregnant or something?

Hi po. Is it possible to get pregnant kasi po? We had intercourse kagabi and he came inside. Today I was delayed in taking the pill for 20 mins.

is it safe after 21 days taking of althea? does the 7days time frame of waiting the period is safe when love making happen?

I took 4 pills of althea minutes after the deed and 4 pill after 12hrs.. And I think that Im fertile.. Please help me about this and it was last Dec 13 we did it..

Hi. I have been taking birth control (Althea) pills for 2 months now. Is there any possibility that I could get pregnant while taking birth control pills? Recently I felt nausea and upper abdominal pain. I feel like vomiting but nothing will come out. My stool is also dark brown and wet. Is it hyper-acidity or am I pregnant?

No, it actually helps prevent pregnancy. By upping the dose, one can take it after unprotected intercourse as an emergency contraceptive to help prevent pregnancy.

Just one tablet, taken after intercourse, will not work. It either needs to be a higher dose, or a woman must be taking it regularly, each day.

However, upping the dose on your own is not safe and should only be done under your doctor's instruction and approval.
