Alternatives To Carafate

I have ulcers that are not healing and my MD prescribed Carafate but I broke out with severe hives. Is there any alternative?

Hello eleni,

There are alternatives out there but it is unwise for me, or anyone on the internet, to recommend you take any type of medication especially when you had an allergic reaction to a previous brand of this type. I recommend contacting your doctor to see if they can determine what you were allergic to and see if they need to bloodwork to determine what the best route to take is next.
