Updated February 15, 2012

Listening to the surgery state how he would remove a bone from my right thumb, and yes I am right handed makes me very nervous. The recovery time sounds very long with apparently not getting full strength back.I am currently trying lazer treatment at the chiropractor but don't think it is working. Over the counter drugs do not help with the pain. Suggestions? Thanks

Have you gotten a second opinion?

Unfortunately, our specialty is prescription drugs and I am not very knowledgeable about surgical options.

What precisely is the problem you are having with your thumb?

I've tried searching, but I can't find any surgical procedure under the name Basil, so I haven't been able to find any more information.
