Hi I've been officially diagnosed with anxiety and paranoia, the doctor prescribed zopax 1mg twice a day. I've been using it now for 2 months straight, however I still have anxiety and paranoia. The zopax 1mg doesn't seem to work and more recently I have become more sleep deprived. I have been taking alprazolam for approximately 27 years. The generic my system seemed be able to handle the best was Sandoz. It was mainly because of the ingredients that were in other generics that I was not able to take different brands. I'm very hyper sensitive to a lot of chemical fillers. I have not had a problem with Sandoz until my last refill which was approximately 4 months ago. I have been on this medication for many years and I only take it when I feel it's necessary. And yes my body is now addicted to it. Which I absolutely hate. I take 1mg (Blue) Alprazolam almost everyday. I always get my prescriptions from the same pharmacy. So I went to get my prescriptions and they told me it was 1 day too early, when I knew it wasn't so I took my prescriptions to another pharmacy that I've used before and they filled them with 1mg (Yellow) Alprazolam. My question is had anyone ever noticed a difference between these two medications that are Supposed to be the same??? When I finally had to take one of the Yellow ones, it didn't seem to work nearly as well as the Blue? Is it just me??? I have been taking Lonazep + Alprazolam since 2011 for the treatment of mental stress, anxiety and also sleeplessness. Both, I am taking daily at night before sleep in the doses of 0.5mg each. Now it seems that 0.5mg of Alprazolam is not effective for the purpose of sleep disorder. Can I increase its dose without consultation with my doctor? ## No I wouldn't do that without speaking to your Doctor first ## Xanax is not really an effective sleep aid anyway due to it's rather short half-life. the qualitest alprazolam are highly ineffective and cause nausea/vomiting, heart burn, severe migrains and swelling and/or bleeding in the throat and stomach which can be seen in the stool. my pharmacy changed to qualitest and i also recieved there oxycodone 30mg tablets. both have a deep blue color and have the same side effects. it maybe the dye or another inactive filler but what ever it is has caused me and about 7 other people i know prescibed the same things these symptoms. i sugget if you recieve this brand to request a different one or switch pharmacys. to top it all off they do not seem to have the same amount of active ingredient in them as ANY of the other brands i have taken> instead of treating my pain and anxiety i got sleepy and more irritable and no other brand does ...

I have situational anxiety, my pcp prescribes me 0.5 alprazolam. She normally writes a prescription which states to take 1 tablet orally 1 x a day. Heres the thing i take them as needed, which is not nearly as much as i am prescribed! it is now 5-5-17 ive had the same prescription since 3-17-17 and still a few left.
