I have a Psychiatrist and he gives me an RX for 0.5, two times a day. I run out. I have SEVERE anxiety and depression. At times I take a larger dose (I need to) and that is helpful. The Dr. however says 0.5 is enough. My former Psychiatrist, for many years, gave me 1mg. It was a blue pill and I could only take up to 5 each day. That was very helpful and some days I didn't need to take 5 pills, so I didn't. I'm 72 years young and don't abuse drugs. ## It is suggested that older people do not take large amounts of Benzodiazipines . 5mg is a large dose. What do you take for depression? I'll admit 1 mg is not a lot, but I have actually gone down 33% from 3mg to 2 mg after almost dying by using this drug.

Hi I am a STAGE 4 CANCER PATIENT & EVER since my doctor retired about a year ago I've been having trouble finding a new doctor to prescribe my pain medications and my alprazolam. I've been a mess I've been in a lot of pain! As listed by the U.S. FDA it carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Two of them could cause a lot more sedation and drowsiness, than usual, but in most countries it is available in a 2mg tablet, so that is not usually a dangerous amount to take, unless someone is allergic to it, or isn't used to taking it. How much has your doctor instructed you to take? How are you feeling? Any shallow breathing or severe dizziness? If so, seek medical attention.

Sometimes if I feel tense or some kind of panic. I hardly breath and my stomach will compressed and its very hard. And my Doctor prescribed me to take a Xanor 500mg Tablet. And the dosage she gave is 1/2 tablet every 12 hours. I was getting the yellow 2mgs bars and they worked when I picked up my refill the pharmacy gave me the green bar with s90 3 on them and they don't seem to work for me are they time released because I don't fill them at night to sleep but I feel droggy in the morning ## Both contain 2mg of alprazolam in my circle the "hulks " r considered the best n cost more yellow ones "busses " r supposedly 2nd best but in all honesty I think they're pretty much the same and you also have to figuring in your tolerance and if I were to take a bar right b4 bed I'd get a xani hangover too.. Someone I know has these. They think they are mylan non US. Possibly out of Europe. A Mexican pharmacy gave me blue oblong pills with IFA on one side and a score mark on the other side to refill my prescription. The guy took them out of a blister pack and put them in my bottle. I don't know how to tell if he gave me the right dose. These are blue, not purple. ## Unfortunately, I am unable to help you with this.
