How long can one take 0.5mg 2x per day everyday without getting addicted?

There is a difference between becoming addicted and dependent, addiction involves abusing a substance, while dependence is just something that naturally occurs with normal long-term use.

Thus, I believe what you're asking about is dependence and there is no set time frame in which it may occur, it can vary from person to person. Some people never experience it and some might experience it after just a month, or so.

The FDA warns that in addition to being habit forming, this medication could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.
