Alprazolam Gg 249 Vs Alprazolam G 372 2

What is the difference between Alprazolam stamped GG 249 and Alprazolam stamped G 3722? The only difference that stands out to me when I research it is that they're made by two different manufacturers. True? Or is there more to it?

Hi jax,

From what I could gather, both tablets reportedly contain 2mgs of Alprazolam. However because they are manufactured by different companies, each tablet is also recognized for having a different set of "inactive" ingredients.

Sandoz (GG 249) contains:

microcrystalline cellulose + docusate sodium + lactose monohydrate + magnesium stearate + sodium benzoate + corn starch

Greenstone (G 372 2) contains:

cellulose powdered + corn starch + docusate sodium lactose + magnesium stearate + silicon dioxide + sodium benzoate

These ingredients don't appear to be significantly different, but some people may find that one works better or worse than the other because of this.
