Alpha Folic Acid

I have got hepetitis B. I heared from one of TV medical program that medicine for this problem is Alpha Folic Acid. I do not understand, what kinde of medecine it is. what should be the dosage and for how long should I take it, what would be the side affects of using it.

I believe what you heard them referring to was Alpha Lipoic Acid. It is not actually a medication though, it is a nutritional supplement that is believed to help support liver function, as well as having other health benefits.

Therefore, it should not the first line treatment for any form of Hepatitis, because it is not actually proven to do anything.
