Alka-seltzer Sinus Allergy With Celexa

I have sinus congestion & allergies.. I also take Celexa. Will this combination of meds hurt me?

What is the specific name of the Alka-Seltzer that you want to take? There is nothing listed under this.

The reason I'm asking is because if it contains Dextromethorphan, then you shouldn't take it with the Celexa, unless your doctor approves. Both Dextromethorphan and Celexa can raise serotonin levels, building up too much can cause serotonin syndrome, which may be fatal.

The FDA classifies Celexa as an SSRI antidepressant. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight gain.
