Akron, Canton, Youngstown Or Ohio Doctors Who Prescribe Opioids For Pain (Page 2)
UpdatedHello. I'm in severe pain. Need doctors from Youngstown Ohio Canton Akron + Cleveland + western Pa. My doctor got arrested now I'm left with no doctor. Anyone know where I could go? Please let me know. Thank you.
Can someone please help me out with finding a Dr who will keep me on what I'm currently prescribed my doctor suddenly passed away last week
Hi I'm 40 years old female with lower lumbar arthritis. My lower lumber I forget the number n letters I have two buldging disks. I'm in pain. I was recently seeing a pain management Doctor he was nice. How ever I failed u/a's multiple times in one day for not having norco 10s in my system. Also I went to a dentist twice to have my wisdom teeth token out and they gave me percs. My main pain Doctor was fine about it I also brought the bottle to him.
How ever going back for refills on my meds I seen a doctor u set him they all work as a team when he is busy. She asked me questions then said she is going to discharge me for tampering with my urine cup. I forgot to say the cup as I was peeing in fell in the toilet. I still took the urine from the toilet. I was always honest with my head doctor. However she was rude and treated me as a drug addict and said I was not to take percs cause I signed a contract. Ok, I told her I told my doctor her boss. She said I'm discharging u n I could call the police. Omg I was devasted. Now going to the head doctor always did tell me in past for seeing him 1/12 half told me don't take percs cause I had some old ones, he did say they will make me stop giving you your meds. How ever he is only allowed to give Norco 10 mgs. He said no way to prove it. So his head hunter doctor under him discharged me... Any 411 any one can give me how do I go about finding a good pain doctor that can actually give me the Norco 10s or would give me percs or any thing stronger?
I called there office when this happened and would not put my pain doctor on the phone. I was calm all about it. Now I'm in Cleveland Ohio any one knows a dr in the area or surrounding area? If you have any details how would I go about all of this I'm scared the new dr. Might consider my drug seeking I'm not!! Just in pain. Please help me? Sincerely, Lost in Cleveland. Thank you.
My gosh Appolonia, that's quite a lot of.......a lot of run around! Wisdom teeth pulled, arthritis, prescibed medication NOT found in system, dropped your peepee in the toilet, percs & Norcos oh my!! What dr originally referred you to the pain clinic with the problems who'll not prescribe for you? You'll need to talk to your primary care dr or orthopedic dr and ask them to refer you to another pain clinic. Dogs you say you live in Cleveland? If you're in Cleveland, ask to be referred to Cleveland Clinic Pain clinic. I'll be happy to give you more names but gotta run right now. I wanted to let you know someone heard you and is here to help. I will be back. ...
Hi I have a neurological disease called RSD /CRPS. I also have herniated and bulging discs. I'm looking for a pain management Dr who prescribes oxycodone hcl. That's what I'm on now, but on the smallest amount. I'm in chronic pain all day & night, cant sleep most nights. I just really need a Dr who understands my disease and believes in medicine. Thank you all
Hi thank you for getting back to me sorry for the delay in responding back to you. They did not prescribe me to know Dr. I am going to my primary care doctor tomorrow so see if she can give me something. Also maybe she can let me know about a doctor hopefully. I was thinking of the Cleveland clinic do you know any doctors be helpful thank you. PS I don't want to be going to Dr. to Dr. I want to look like I'm Dr. shopping as reading on here that's a red flag I would like to just stick with one doctor thank you for your help
You can have your primary dr refer you to pain management.
Tim, I was seeing Rineri too, I had the hardest time finding another pain doctor that would take me. I did but he cut my Meds so far back I might as well be on nothing. Who are you seeing if I may ask? I was red flagged cause of those i****s.
Have you located a doctor yet i think i had the dame doctor
Hi, the Cleveland clinic has a chronic pain program, I can tell you from experience that it would surprise me if any doctor at the clinic prescribes pain melds, they go on that BS you have to live with your pain, all these doctors are delussional
Tiffany pain clinic is a NIGHTMARE, it just plain and simple, the drug addicts have ruined it for us, the real chronic pain patients, anyone living in the Youngstown area, I moved to this area 12 years ago on methadone, Dr's Pain Clinic prescribed me the methadone, I don't no if those doctors there still prescribe it but I would suggest starting with that clinic for anyone in the Youngstown area, just DONT MESS UP, they will get rid of you.
Hi Margie, I'll second your motion that Tiffany Pain Clinic IS a nightmare and especially if you're made to see the NP there. Female, I don't remember her name but I can think of a few curse words for her. What a complete unprofessional witch. I moved to the Youngstown area from NC 16 yrs ago. I was referred to CC from my NC pain management dr. I was very fortunate to have CC prescibe same I was taking in NC. After 6 years of driving over an hour to CC, once a month & sometimes writhing in pain, I asked to be referred to someone closer to home. Unfortunately I was turned over to Ranieri & Fragatos at Allied Pain. Tho Ranieri was a jerk he did continue my same med. Then they got raided...such a long story. But the last script Ranieri wrote me NO ONE would fill, not even that pharmacy in PA they were associated with since beginning. To be cont
Thankfully, my PCP took care of me that month. After that I found out Fragatos was in Akron and drove there 3 months till the day he gave me a copy of the letter from the DEA or fda which recommended no more than 80mg morphine per day, told me I'm a drug addict & said he was gonna lower my dosage blah blah blah. I'm a drug addict. Really. Funny you've had no problem prescribing for me all these years and suddenly I'm a drug addict. Never failed the expensive drug panel they require monthly. Never took med from another dr. I WAS the model patient. What a kook! I was hysterical. That was 2 years ago almost exactly.
Since then I've had to start over with the Urologist. Going thru all the painful tests and procedures. I asked to be reverted to St Elizabeth pain clinic however both my PCP and urologist referred me to Tiffany. Well, one referred me to Dr Donatelli who's office happens to be at Tiffany. Never got to see anyone but the wretched NP there. What a waste. There's one more couple paragraphs between the first one I wrote today and this one. I really wish I had an answer for those living in this area. If you're so inclined you can go to treatmentmatch.org and get hooked up with a Suboxone dr. Suboxone does help with pain from what I understand. Be warned tho. If you go on Suboxone you'll always be labeled as been treated for addiction therefore no pain specialist will likely take you on. I don't know this from personal experience. More than one nurse and a dr have told me this.
Keikee,
I also was a patient of Rineri, I also was getting the melds I needed, but because I was a patient of his I had the hardest time finding a pain doc that would take me, I was unfairly FLAGGED. If it weren't for my primary care doc finally getting me into a doc after along time he was prescribing me my pain Meds, I was very lucky but had to prove myself to him and over time he new I was for real, I see a dr down on Parmalee dr , absolutely no bedside manner, has cut my Meds back, but....I only go every 2 months, no waiting and because I insisted on X-Rays, sees in spite of back surgery at the cc I still have quite a bit of arthritis in my lower back. They wonder why so many people are over dosing on opiates, it is because chronic people become desperate when they cannot get what they need for their pain, something has to be done for us real sufferers, I cannot get out of bed until I take my first pain pill. It is extremely frustrating to me. I am glad cc is helping you, I personally cannot stand that pain group over there. I had one doc before I moved to this area that helped me with my chronic headaches, very reluctant to help but long story why I no longer see him, I followed all the rules, got screwed in the end.
Margie, I should be clear, I am currently NOT under any pain clinic care. I gave up CC to be closer to home only to get mixed up with Ranieri for 6 years. They closed and since then I was referred to Tiffany but the NP refused to prescribe any medication stating that my syndrome, which she knew nothing about, isn't helped with opioids. Funny, they've gotten me thru 16 years of life, able to work etc.
Guilt by association is what I've inherited from Ranieri. AND my records were left in their old office. I filled a complaint with medical board. I still haven't gotten my records. They're Prob gone forever. Which is why I'm going thru all the hell, dx testing, procedures I went thru before I finally got a dx in 1995.
I've barely gotten by on the kindness of my PCP & I cringe to ask him for meds because he doesn't really understand about the land of narcotic pain relievers.
Ugh.....After being treated like a drug addict at Tiffany with no help, I didn't go back after the third appt. I got nothing but more grief from the people there.
Hopefully I'll work it out one day. ...
Keikee
I have been through a lot of the same things you have, seeing the same doctors, when I first moved to this area I was seeing Dr Donatelli, I really, really liked him, then he moved to his own practice he was by himself, then he gets with those other doctors and the NP I wasn't going to pay $70 a month to see that wench for one script. Somehow I ended up with Allied and I got the same BS From the other dr about 80 mg of morphine. It is very sad that these doctors don't care about what people like us with real pain issues. I like you also was a model patient. My pcp told me today a chronic pain patient is considered a drug addict and must prove that they are not, so unfair. I talked to a guy about getting my records as well, I cannot remember if I have his contact info anymore but you can try the sheriffs and ask them where the records are, I think someone gave me that advice. I don't no what I would do if my dr I see now took me off my Meds, I cannot do any normal daily functions without my Meds and he cut me way down from my previous dosage, I wish I had the answers, but I think a dr needs to take each individual case by case and not generalize all of us as addicts, I am tired of defending myself
That Tiffany Pain Clinic is A nightmare. The one NP witch (Jennifer) is no longer at Tiffany. I have refused to go back. I prayed and ask GOD to take me off the 'fentanyl' without and WD, did a 'cold turkey' and GOD answered my prayers. When I told them at Tiffany what I had done, and I was never coming back because they had made me worse off than I was before I started coming to this place. They were shocked that I had taken myself off the meds without any WD symptoms. I told them they were the worst place I had ever seen and heard. Also told them the only half way decent person (NP) in Tiffany was Stephinia--glad that Jennifer was no longer there but they needed to get rid of everyone who worked at that front desk as well because they were/are the most nastiest and uncaring persons I have ever seen or come in contact with. I pray enough people will complain about Tiffany and they will change or be Shut Down.
Hi Carol,
I used to see Sawn Donatelli there, he was good until he brought in all these other doctors, then he through me to the NP, I wasn't a cash paying patient that was going to pay all that money to wait hours to be seen, treated like a sub human from the staff, and leave in worst pain and aggravation then when I first went. I was just curious how you are doing now, if you are under another doctors care or are off all Meds now
The Cleveland Clinic Pain Clinic want you to enroll in a six weeks program. They may or may not give anything for pain but you must enroll be enrolled in classes of diet, exercise, how to manage pain and other classes. You must attend these classes everyday for six wks. and then be evaluated. If you don't live in the area of the clinic you must travel to where ever the clinic is (in my case it is one hr. to one and one half hrs. from my home) Living in Northeast Ohio that is almost impossible especially in mid-winter because of the weather.
I did their in patient treatment, they did not help me at all, not everyone is able to do a six week program, the nurse that evaluated me said I was dependent on drugs, well no kidding, it is the only thing that has worked my entire life, the problem with most doctors is they think they are God and love that control and ego, instead of having compassion, it is extremely frustrating to me
