Aftertaste

my husband has been on Cymbalta for almost a month now, his depression is getting better even though he still has his highs and lows.The only complaint he has is the bitter aftertaste that is with him always,has anyone experienced this and know of anyway to get rid of it?

That's not listed as a common side effect of the medication.

However, if he's letting it sit on his tongue for a few seconds, before swallowing it down, then it may be starting to dissolve, which could explain the issue. In that case, he needs to place it as far back in his mouth as he can, towards or in his throat and swallow it immediately with a full glass of water.

Alternatively, it can cause dry mouth as a side effect, so that could also be causing the issue. In which case, increasing his fluid intake should help the problem.
