After Accutane
UpdatedI just ended Accutane. I was on 80 mg. I just ended it today. I was wondering if anybody knew when my chapped lips, loss of hair, dry nose, dry skin, and aching bones will go away?

Hello Jessika,
Please read this Discussion Thread with over 600 post. There are many questions and a lot of good answers to what can happen. I opened this thread up 2 years ago cause my son was having the same symptoms as you.
Best Wishes,

Sorry to say my dry lips NEVER went away. I took Acutane when I was 20, now 43. Jo Malone makes an excellent lip moisturizer, I live by it!
The thread that Scott is recommending is very helpful! I posted in there a couple of times, as I took Accutane when I was 16. I'm 22 now and still have dry lips. It's not severe or anything, but I do find myself having to use coconut oil daily to keep them moisturized for a longer period of time.
I definitely suggest staying hydrated throughout the day to help keep the chapped lips at bay. I haven't experienced the other symptoms you mentioned, except dry skin; coconut oil is a great universal option to help this as well. As far as everything else goes, definitely take a look into Scott's thread as there are lots of other people discussing similar matters.
I hope this helps!
