Affect Of Purbac On Oral Contraception

I have been using Purbac for just over a year to treat adult acne. I am currently using a Mirena contraceptive. Will the use of Purbac in any way decrease the effectivness of Mirena and result in pregnancy?

I have been on the 2 month contraceptive injections and have been using Purbac for my skin. Will it increase the chances of pregnancy

I have the implant and have been taking purbac. Does purbac effect the implant?

Purbac is an antibiotic and they most commonly affect oral contraceptives the contain a form of estrogen. According to NIH reports, they do not normally cause a problem with inserts, such as Mirena, that contain only a form of progesterone, but they may cause Triphasil to be less effective.

The NIH warns that other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, irregular bleeding, and irritability.
