Advice For A Traveling Contruction Worker Who Needs To Work But Cant Be Home Every Month For Med Renewal
UpdatedI am a hard working construction worker who works various states often month to month and I am really finding my work suffer from me having to remain around the house JUST to make my monthly pain clinic visits. I am wondering how and if anyone else has dealt with this in the past. I live in Mississippi and I have really had to turn down jobs alot in last year due to fact if I travel far off and cant get back I miss my visits and worse I would get extremely sick... Now I can as you know get pills on the streets but I am desperately trying to do the right thing... Pain Centers will not work together will they on letting you be seen and administering drugs(I know a dumb question)... I am missing out on great money and I have to admit my dependency is really causing a huge change in my lifestyle..I cant make anywhere near the same money at home like I do on the road so I have been trying to find my solution for a good while so far..Luckily my wife works local and has a good job but it ends soon and its back to me... I just want to do right.... I even joined a suboxen program last year to end my dependecy and just deal with the pain, but low and behold these programs require the exact same deal..they expect monthly and weekly meetings and visits... I mean has anyone else had this kind of situation and what did you do about it? I really thought with suboxen that hell I would go online in my motel room each night and partake in NA.org nightly /weekly meetings and submit that to my suboxen doctor but at this point it appears that if I want to work I really need to quit dealing with my pain or vise versa.....Anyone go through same thing?

Hello, Gary! How are you? I am very sorry about the dilemma that you're in.
But it isn't just you! There have been man others complaining about similar issues. I wish I had some ideas that would help, but unfortunately, I don't.
The issue is that due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, it's no longer up to the doctors. They have no choice but to require the frequent visits and limit how much they prescribe at any one time.
Does anyone have any ideas to offer?
