Adderall...then Ritalin..and Now Dexedrine??

I have been on Adderall 30 mg BID for years but can only take the COR generic and in my area all we have is Barr. I had a very bad emotional recation to it. My doctor switched me last month to Ritalin 20mg BID. I feel tired and like I am on Xanax all the time. So now he is going to switch me to Dexedrine. I am so fustrated because my Adderall work perfect. Has anyone been in this situation or can let me know if Dexedrine is more like my adderall then the Ritalin????

Did you try asking a pharmacy to order the one manufactured by Core for you?

They can usually do so, but your insurance will only pay the cheapest generic price, so if it costs $10 more, then you would have to pay the additional $10.

Rather than play the medication guessing game, that would be your best bet, so you might want to look into that first.

I would like the answer to your question as well. My doc just changed me from 20 mg adderall xr (generic) to ritalin (generic) 20mg bid. The adderall helped my focus and concentration but it exaggerated my ocd. But now I can barely function on ritalin. All I want to do is sleep and lay around... I can't even think normally. I don't know what to do now. Will it get better? Is this some sort of withdrawal symptom from the adderall?

forgive my spelling. It's my understanding adderal is 75% d-amphetamine 25% ?L-amphetamine?, d is the good stuff and dexedrine is 100% d, the other is thought to give the jitters.

I've been on Dexedrine Spansules for years. I've tried other drugs that come out on the market, but nothing works like Dexedrine. I usually take 20mg in the am, and 5 in the afternoon- no later than 3pm though! Even the generic is great - which I actually like better (dextroamphetamine ER)
