Adderall Questions
UpdatedSo I am on my 6th day of Adderal that was prescribed by my doctor since he felt that my symptoms I told him about we're due to ADHD. My doctor warned me that this can be a addictive drug and that it is much abused by people because of the high it can produce. So I started doing research and watching video's of people who have used it and I was starting to question taking it. Now that I have started taking it and have experienced what it's like to be on it I really don't understand how people get off on this. I am currently taking the 20mg RX. My first day on it I would say that I could slightly feel that I had taken something but hardly worth mentioning since allergy medication messes me up way more after the first day even that feeling has subsided. I noticed that with in the first couple days my behavior changed a bit it helped me with my anger when my emotions usually would flair up with something that was said that I didn't like so I have noticed behavior changes however it being the 6th day I have noticed my ADHD tendencies have returned a bit. I have not experienced any heightened awareness or feeling of "being able to phocuse on task better" which was one of the most important reasons I decided to take this. The only side effects I have felt that I know is a direct result of the Adderal is my suppressed appetite and upset stomach which is usaly fixed by eating something. So I dont get it. Im wondering if this is even working for me especially since I dont feel anything and the thing's i have noticed that are positive are not enough at this point to keep me on it since they are starting to go away. Perhaps I have not been on it long enough to be able to see if it works but with all the literature I have read it seems as tho anyone who felt ananything it happend in the first few days and then gradually diminishes so what possibly more could I feeI. I could be wrong but from what I understand I am taking next to the highest dosage you can get so for somone like me who is a none drug user i would think i would feel something or would notice a substantial difference. If anyone has experience with Adderall or is like me as I have described please share your thoughts. Let me know what to expect from here on out or any suggestion would be great thanks.

People that abuse Adderall and other ADHD meds rarely have the issues like ADHD they are prescribed for. Someone that actually has ADHD is affected differently that those who don't and take these meds.
Since we are all different, medications can affect everyone differently, and as odd as it may seem, what you dislike about a medication might be a side effect that someone else enjoys.
It usually takes about 4 to 5 weeks for a medication to reach its full level of efficacy in the body, and for you to be able to tell if it will, or will not help you. Have there been any change, yet?
If not, it might not be the right medication for you to take.
The FDA does warn that Adderall carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, headache, irritability, and insomnia.
