Adderall Manufactured By Teva Not Working (Page 49)

I have had two refills of Adderall 20 mg that was manufactured by Teva/barr (Teva) and it seems to have much less medication in each pill. Refills by another manufacturer work. This is ridiculous, and where do we report Teva and who can check each pill for amount for medication? I would gladly donate some of my worthless ones to the FDA?

I thought I was going crazy. Everyone on just about every forum on the internet loves Teva. I got Teva for the first time this month (30mg IR tabs) because of this. It is absolute garbage. Does not do ANYTHING good for me and gives me ALL the negative side effects amplified.

Due to timeframe, it seems this might just be a very bad batch?

Just reported the latest batch of Teva to the FDA, and would recommend others do the same. These pharmaceutical companies are making billions and there is very little attention given to quality control anymore. They don't realize that one bad batch can mess up someone's entire month!!!

I will agree with others that sometimes Teva sometimes does feel less potent,
but when you compare Teva with the alternatives (ie Mallinckrodt) it is the most “balanced”
genericI have found.

Sorry, teva and elite are not the same. Teva/Barr say B97* (* is explained below). Elite is with Lannett and there's look almost identical as the Teva/Barr but a little lighter and say E50* (the * is put there bc the last number varies per milligram).

If you are getting legit teva then it seems to be fine, it's the elite/Lannett that don't work as well. They are making meds that seem to counteract some part of it that gives the feeling that people get addicted to or some s*** like that... aka take the part of the adderall that we with ADHD NEED, not want.

But the problem is, most people won't do it. But then, does this country care about people and their meds? I do not think so. Don't kid yourself that they don't know. Also, I have asked Walgreens many times, "don't other people complain to you about these generics?" they always say, NO. My son has narcolepsy, a dangerous illness and very hard to keep a job, they won't give him disability! If he can't get Medicaid, he can't get his meds. They don't care. Think about this, we all have so much trouble getting help with our health BUT now IL is going to give people who are not Americans but living here, free health care!

Generic drug variances can be max 20% higher or lower than brand. I take a Teva drug that works great for me. It is a matter of finding what generic works for you. Then you can request from pharmacy

I just picked up my adderall IR 20mg from Walgreens like usual and the first thing I noticed was the color. So i looked at the bottle for the name of the generic. It's from Lannett pharmaceuticals, i never heard of this generic version so?. Ok so the color is a lighter shade of peach and the same size and shape of teva..it says 2/0(e). However it doesn't have that sweet taste, its more chalky. Its later in the evening time so i only took one two hours ago and not much has happened granted I was lazy feeling and now im more awake so i will update soon. I just jumped off Google and did a search for opinions and I read a few people wrote that this was a very good generic by Lannett pharmaceuticals. I will wait and see for myself. The price was cheaper than teva the price of $20.68 for 60 tables of 20mg ir..

And change. My teva brand is around $34 for 60 20mg tab. Still I'd rather pay for my teva, i get it...they are not what they once were but still teva has been my choice for a generic!. Lets face it none of the generics are what they once were, i read pain management patients who say they think pain pills are not what they once were either, i believe if a medication is a narcotic drug they are not as potent as they once were!..

Citing the possibility bottles may contain tablets of mixed strengths, Teva Pharmaceuticals USA is voluntarily recalling 100-count bottles of dextroamphetamine saccharate, amphetamine aspartate, dextroamphetamine sulfate, and amphetamine sulfate tablets (mixed amphetamine salts product). The recall was included in the June 10, 2020, US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Enforcement Report.

The following products, distributed throughout the United States and in Puerto Rico, were included in the recall:

5-mg dextroamphetamine saccharate, amphetamine aspartate, dextroamphetamine sulfate, and amphetamine sulfate tablets in 100-count bottles (NDC 0555-0971-02) from lot 42614718 (Exp. 2/21);

15-mg dextroamphetamine saccharate, amphetamine aspartate, dextroamphetamine sulfate, and amphetamine sulfate tablets in 100-count bottles (NDC 0555-0777-02) from lot 42617008 (Exp. 10/21); and

20-mg dextroamphetamine saccharate, amphetamine aspartate, dextroamphetamine sulfate, and amphetamine sulfate tablets in 100-count bottles (NDC 0555-0973-02) from lot 42617891 (Exp. 1/22).

Teva Pharmaceuticals initiated the recalls May 22, 2020. The FDA designated the recalls Class II on June 4, 2020, signaling use of the tablets could cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences. A remote possibility of serious harm also exists.

So the recall was the reason i couldn't get my normal teva brand adderall?
I am only on my first full day of having the Lannett pharmaceuticals 20mg adderall. I don't have an opinion on it yet
Even though I prefer the teva brand it's still nothing like it was in strength years ago. At first I thought it was only narcotics that so many pain patients are having to do without, it's not just pain medication it has to do with all the drugs that are controlled. The medacine lately is so weak it makes someone wonder what's in our meds.

The Teva recall affected only a very small amount of their total distribution.

If you are concerned, and you take the Teva brand, you can contact your pharmacy, and ask them if you were dispensed the “lot number” provided in the statement

Teva Adderall should still be available.

I live in Chicago and have been on teva 30mg it adderall and they have never done me wrong. To be honest my family member gets 75. 20mg teva adderall ir and they are good too. I jus mix em with a benzo and my day is amazing. I don’t know what they are doing with recalls. It’s happened once in my life. I’ve been on adderall since 16. I’m 36.

I don't see any reason to complain anymore. Has anything come of it in the years of complaining? Not that I've heard. Everyone knows the generics aren't any good, but nothing is done, I'm out!

All the generics are absolute garbage compared to what they used to be. Its not even close! 30mg ir would last me almost all day back in 2011 now I took 6 years off and I took 30mg of the same brand and nothing at all. They changed all the ingredients to lower quality garbage to save a buck but turned these pills into something thats not doing what they are supposed to anymore. Its sad. I had to switch to Adderall xr so I could get the name brand and that's ok... I prefer IR but they do nothing! It's a waste
