Adderall Manufactured By Teva Not Working (Page 45) (Top voted first)

I have had two refills of Adderall 20 mg that was manufactured by Teva/barr (Teva) and it seems to have much less medication in each pill. Refills by another manufacturer work. This is ridiculous, and where do we report Teva and who can check each pill for amount for medication? I would gladly donate some of my worthless ones to the FDA?

Malinkroft is a brand I refuse to take. It made me feel worse than Aurobindo. Good luck and let us know if the Malinkroft works for you. We have no availability of CorePharma where I live, apparently.

The only pill that worked for me too & if it’s not made by Shire, it is a generic! Too bad I could no longer afford the medication. I was switched to Ritalin 20 mg, 3/day and after 7 maths on it, it’s the closest to Shire’s Adderall XR that I’ve had yet. Very inexpensive & minimal side effects, if any. so, think I’ll stay here for the time being.

Generic meds have gotten awful the past 7 years and is nowhere near as good as it was before. These companies have changed the pills and must be using cheaper raw material. I'd love to have them tested compared to the old ones and see what the difference is.

Anyone having problems with their meds, must report to the fda online or download a form to report it. Reporting it any other way, is not going produce fda reason for researching this problem! You must go here and choose your state:

I have the exact same experience with orange Teva pills (IR 15mg). I tried them for several months and was nauseated, gained 10 pounds (subsequently lost it), and was for some reason extra bloated (beyond what the weight gain would suggest) on a daily basis. To boot, they did very little to help..

I agree. I will go without before I will take Aurobindo. The one with the M on it was so weak I would have to take a double dose, and I am tiny and super sensitive to medication so it’s not a tolerance. It was just those.
I don’t mind the Teva. They don’t make me feel ill like the Auro brands.

It's no longer Teva/Barr.. it's now Teva/Elite and the pills look almost exactly alike except they are lighter in color and the imprint went from b973, b974 to e505, e506.
They don't work at all like the Teva/Barr ones did. They aren't as bad as say Mallinkrodt (white ones with an m) or whatever but they certainly don't work as good.

I will agree with others that sometimes Teva sometimes does feel less potent,
but when you compare Teva with the alternatives (ie Mallinckrodt) it is the most “balanced”
genericI have found.

But the problem is, most people won't do it. But then, does this country care about people and their meds? I do not think so. Don't kid yourself that they don't know. Also, I have asked Walgreens many times, "don't other people complain to you about these generics?" they always say, NO. My son has narcolepsy, a dangerous illness and very hard to keep a job, they won't give him disability! If he can't get Medicaid, he can't get his meds. They don't care. Think about this, we all have so much trouble getting help with our health BUT now IL is going to give people who are not Americans but living here, free health care!

I just picked up my adderall ir 20mg from Walgreens who usually have teva. Well i just looked at mine and they are a lighter shade of peach but the same shape and size. 2/0 (e). I never heard of them before. They are not sweet taste like teva and since it's later in the evening I only took one almost two hours ago and not much has happened other than I woke up a bit..the price was cheaper than teva the Lannett pharmaceuticals were $20. And change. My teva brand is around $34 for 60 20mg tab. Still I'd rather pay for my teva, i get it...they are not what they once were but still teva has been my choice for a generic!. Lets face it none of the generics are what they once were, i read pain management patients who say they think pain pills are not what they once were either, i believe if a medication is a narcotic drug they are not as potent as they once were!..

The Teva recall affected only a very small amount of their total distribution.

If you are concerned, and you take the Teva brand, you can contact your pharmacy, and ask them if you were dispensed the “lot number” provided in the statement

Teva Adderall should still be available.

Look on the pill at the number wallgreens has started using lannett pharmacy over teva, you have to go in and ask for the teva brand instead. As of July 2020

I agree. I find Teva generic Adderall IR to be, by far, the most potent and efficacious.

The problem I’ve had is that I tried 3 different generics (including Teva) as well as brand name Adderall IR (now also made by Teva) and have not had great results. So when SarahAda says the formula is different, I agree. I compared the inactive ingredients in the different manufacturers and of course they’re different. It absolutely effects me. Unfortunately the one that WAS effective for me has been discontinued : / I just reduced the dose as the side effects were not worth it. I was only taking 10 mg to begin with! #annoyed. I filed a bs complaint with the FDA.

I don’t know the name of the company that makes what u have but I got 2 scripts for Adderall XR made by Par Pharmaceuticals and they are horrible. I’m tired, really dragging & retching all day until it’s worn off! Stay far away from this one!!

I have narcolepsy and this generic adderall tablets - oval peach with b/974 on one side and 30 on other side do not work at all for me. Matter of fact I fall right asleep on them and this is very dangerous for me as I have to drive and I have had to pull over several times. On time, I ended up in someone's front yard. I'm glad other people notice this because I need to know what can be done about Teva. I'm afraid I'm going to get hurt or maybe hurt someone because of my narcolepsy and these pills don't work at all. What does work? I've had adderall for along time and this is the first time they act like sleeping pills.

Please fill out a MedWatch form on the FDA website! We all need to fill out the form and speak up. This is a serious issue that needs to be addressed!!! F***ing finally I am hearing someone with narcolepsy talk about how fake these pills are. It is not imagined, this garbage medicine is not okay!!
