Adderall From Barr Not Working After Teva Acquired Them
UpdatedI was taking Barr Dextroamphetamine Sulfate for 12 years. This medication was a miracle drug for me as it lowered my blood pressure, increased my focus, attention, and breathing. About three years ago, my medication "disappeared" without warning or notice. No one would tell me the truth until I found my drug at a pharmacy two hours away. After receiving the medication twice, the pharmacist said he could no longer get it for me because my $50 generic shot up to $500 overnight. I have been forced to try other generics, but none compared to Barr. Teva bought Barr, and I was able to get it periodically... except when the government planned a "shortage" three months ago.
I received my medication, however, the whole 180 pills were ineffective. Before that, the other "Adderall" were so bad I returned them. I am shocked that this could happen. I called my senator, assemblyman, and Teva-Barr themselves. After two interviews, I asked him if they changed the formula; he said no. My system is so screwed up by whatever toxins or fillers are in it. I am being checked by my doctor for heavy metals and hepatitis, as I found out that some of these "drugs" have a "substituted for" over the name on the bottle. It could have blood products in it. Believe it or not, I received prior approval for a brand-name Dextroamphetamine sulfate called Zenzedi, and that was no good as well. A representative at my assemblyman's office said, "we may be able to create legislation so that some people can get purer drugs."
Meanwhile, I am a wreck, I gained 20 lbs for no reason, my feet became painful, itchy, and so swollen that I couldn't fit into any of my many shoes. I can't think; I am outraged that this is acceptable and no one has the power to correct this crime. Most people are unaware that the pharmacies have received government protection in case of legal suits from death or allergic reactions, as even they don't know what's in this crap. Meanwhile, the stock market is getting filthy rich from the experimentation without consent from misrepresented prescription drugs. Only the rich can have purer meds.

I am deeply concerned by your post because my son had a similar experience with Epic Pharma adderall. It did not work and made his stomach sick. I gave him a generic from Norwich Pharma and it worked great. This experiment was repeated with another person and the same thing happened. There is not supposed to be anything in an adderall pill that should cause stomach upset because they could use sugar as a filler. I really want to know what is in these pills. I am going to file a complaint with the FDA later this week on MedWatch.
Re: Jules (# 1)
Yes, thank you for doing that I filed a medwatch on the epic version as well. I only got those once or twice last winter from CVS me all the way pharmacy because Wallgreens couldn’t get any at all, I’m currently able to get Teva from Wallgreens again and they work ok, they may be a little weak but they work and they don’t give me a headache or a stomach ache so I’m grateful for that in itself
