Can Adderall give a false positive test for Methamphetamine and not for Amphetamines?

Hair test goes back 90 days, urine 5 days depends on dose and water intake. If positive they send out for gas test that tells if it's adderall or methamphetamine or source, it tells exactly what caused a positive.

Thank goodness I've never done cocaine either, and i came up positive for it too, but it was an old adderall Rx..

I don't take adderall, I take pain meds for my bad back. I take oxycodone and a patch and diet pills and p,r,n, xanax. But my drug test came out dirty for adderall!? How can that happen?

So, CPS recently took my kids away when I failed a drug test for Meth, I HAVE NEVER DONE ANY ILLEGAL DRUGS!!, But I have been taking OTC Generic Recall brand Sudafed daily for the past year and NyQuil at night so that I can be relieved of my terrible allergies. I past several mouth swabs but then failed a hair strand test. It tested positive for Methamphetamine but negitive for amphetamine. Can you fail a Hair drug test for Methamphetamine but not amphetamine? Or would that be a false positive? All I want is my babies home so please help...

I take Adderall and I just lost my job because I tested positive for methamphetamine. I told them to take my blood or have me take a lie detector test and they wouldn't even look at me -that urine test was the last word they took as absolute truth and my word as false. My world is in chaos.

Adderall has no withdrawal. Methamphetamine does. In fact they are similar in effect but Methamphetamine is way more potent. Still keep our Adderall locked up. Addicts would love it.

My son is taking lithium orotate and GH3 gerovita. He took a drug screen today and it came up positive for Adderall. He swears he has not taken Adderall in quite some time. Could the lithium have caused a false positive?

I did pay 280$ for the gas chromatography test and I was cleared, test proved I only had adderall which I told them before i took my test, my job said that's great news but you can't have your job back there is no law in the state of Texas that protects citizens when it comes to drug tests

I am 59 years old and have been on adderall since they came out and just two weeks ago i have a new dr and he gave me a drug test and took half my script away, told me adderall levels were too high; his reference (psychotic amounts) and i knew that was not true because i did not have any for a few days from having the flu. I just pick my script up 3 days before he called me in for a count and a test, everything was right, now here's the big question: I live in a house with an apartment upstairs & we share same heating and cooling ventilation. I know for a fact he is smoking methamphetamine and cooking it. I start coughing real bad and after awhile my little yorkies start thinking they're seeing fleas or bugs jump around and are trying to catch them. My other yorkie gets all skits out and wont lay down, walks around looking at the walls and personally i don't feel my normal self and the coughing is crazy, but i go outside and i am fine. That did happen a whole week before i had that appt. so could that methamphetamine have gotten into my system to make my levels of adderall so high?

I adopted my 3 grandchildren 3 yrs ago. Parents called cps who urine tested me today. Showed them my perscriotion bottle of adderall. Urine test came back positive for amphetimine and meth! Cps took my 3 grandchildren.

I was recently prescribed Adderall and have tested positive for cocaine. I never used cocaine in my life. I experimented by NOT taking the Adderall and tested NEGATIVE for both AMPHETAMINES AND COCAINE. I'm not going to take the adderall anymore. ..even though it did help me focus. I'd rather be a little distracted than test positive for cocaine!

Yes i tested positive for amphetamine because of the zantac i was taking for my acid reflux it has resulted in them removing my children and newborn baby from me it's only been 4 days i have been fighting DCFS to get them back in my home but hardly any investigation or action done on their part. I suggest if you are submitted to any drug test you let them know beforehand if you are taking anything even over the counter short term stuff. I'm glad i did otherwise i would have no proof but I'm still fighting DCFS because by the time i found out what it was that caused the false positive it was too late they already started an investigation on me. Everything will eventually check out for me but who knows how long it's gonna take the state to complete their bogus investigation and let my children come home, it's a horrible thing to be blamed for something you don't do. My kids are in more danger now than they ere with me it's ridiculous and not to mention a definate lawsuit since the hospital knew from me telling them that i take high dosage 300mg zantac two 150mg pills at a time twice daily from over the counter as advised by a previous doctor since 2009. Since my insurance didnt cover a stronger more expensive pill.
