Adderall Xr 18 Hours Before Surgery?

I am scheduled for abdominal laparoscopic surgery at 10 am tomorrow. I was stressed about not having everything done around my house and took 2 30mg Adderall XR that I had around the house but no longer am prescribed. I'm scared to tell the doc. But will this mess with my surgery or anesthesia?

Yes, please inform your doctor, it is better than risking your life. Some medications may affect the amount of anesthesia that you need, or it may necessitate a delay in surgery.

The FDA lists this medication as being a stimulant that is most commonly used to treat ADHD and narcolepsy. It carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.
