Usually for drugs like this the safest way to stop taking them is to tapper off them, if possible. Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of several weeks until the body is no longer dependent upon them. I don't know however if Adderall would fall into this category of medications that can be taken in fractioned doses.

For this, I'd actually recommend asking your local pharmacy or primary care physician; because the severity of withdrawing from any drug is largely dependent on the individual's health factors (i.e. age, weight, metabolism, diet, length of time on medication, etc).

NOTE: if you do experience any side effects from withdrawing from Adderall, try to make sure you treat them with natural remedies (first), because doctors will want to put you on a number of other medications that may create more problems for you in the long run.

I hope this information helps!
