Adderall Shortage Walgreens

According to the following article from Walgreens (dated February 2023), there are a number of key factors that may be influencing potential drug shortages when it comes to Adderall and other popular prescription medications as well; including but not limited to post-pandemic supply chain constraints (such as manufacturing issues and other industry-controlled factors, such as raw materials), increased consumer demand, and federally regulated rules surrounding certain medications, to name a few.

Walgreens themselves go on to admit that pharmacists should be the ones keeping their providers informed on drug shortages to ensure patients can get the medicines they need as quickly as possible - whereas in some instances, a medication may be available, but the specified dosage is not.

Aside from the option of having your doctor custom tailor your dosage to better accommodate such shortages, compounding pharmacies are purported to be the next line of defense when other options run out.

Has anyone else experienced Adderall shortages at their local Walgreens or other large chain pharmacies as of late?

If so, have you had any success with a compound pharmacy or getting your doctor to adjust the dosage in order to get your prescription filled?

No, I use Wallgreens and they have been fine, they were even doing fine through last winter shortage. I have to try to refill today though so I may come back and tell you I was wrong.
