Adderall Ir - Switch To Vyvanse Or Adderall Xr?

I was taking brand name Adderall IR for about a year and found it to be very helpful.

But since Teva/Barr/Duramed just changed the formula for brand name Adderall IR - and it's pretty awful - my pdoc switched me to Vyvanse.

I'm wondering if maybe I should switch to Adderall XR instead (of Vyvanse)? Thanks for any and all replies.

For anyone else that's looking for similar information, the best thing I can say is that it really depends on figuring out what works for you.

Sometimes finding the right medication, once you've grown tolerant to one, or once something has changed about it, is just a matter of trial and error.

Some people get lucky and the first thing they use works great for them and stays effective for years, but this doesn't happen for everyone.

Thus, the best thing to do in such situations is to work with your doctor to try what they suggest by giving it a fair shot for 4 to 6 weeks to see if it works for you, once it reaches its full effectiveness level in your body.

If it isn't working, then let them know, so you can discuss what your other options might be.

Are there any questions or comments?
