Adderall Dosages

Son Takes 10 instant release mg in a.m. then crashes and very unhappy at two pm. Give him another five and works well till bedtime or sometimes up all night. Also script say amphetamine salts instead of Adderall M.D. ordered.

Have you talked to his doctor about the problem?

He may need a dosage adjustment, or a switch to the regular or time release formulation of the medication.

And Amphetamine salts are the active ingredients in Adderall, so that is just the generic for it.

It may cause some other side effects, such as nausea, irritability, anorexia and insomnia.
