Adderall Backorder (Page 98) (Top voted first)
UpdatedI take generic Adderall 20 mg for narcolepsy and there is not one local pharmacy that has it in stock. I have never had this problem before. The pharmacies are saying that it's on backorder from the manufacturer. Is anyone else having problems getting their scripts filled?
Re: Optimistic (# 996)
With all due respect, that is what the DEA considers "diverting" and that is exactly what they want to prevent people from using these medications for.
Re: Bp01 (# 1020)
Federal law requires a doctor patient relationship at least one face to face visit before prescribing Schedule II medications. When the pandemic started and a Federal Emergency was declared. That law was temporarily changed to not require a doctor patient relationship, at least one face to face meeting before prescribing a Schedule II drug. Technically it is still in affect until the Federal Emergency due to the pandemic is lifted. But the change has been abused by certain new companies.
Re: Bp01 (# 1022)
How can a drug screen be done online? These businesses will have to stop prescribing Schedule II drugs when the Federal Emergency due to covid ends anyway. Looks like that is coming up soon.
Re: tim (# 1084)
It depends on the pharmacist and other pharmacy staff. I have traded at a Walgreens in the metropolitan city I live in for years. The reason is the pharmacist and pharmacy staff are so nice, polite and helpful. A friend of mine that takes Adderall started going there a while back because she heard me say so many nice things about the pharmacy and pharmacy staff.
Re: Cyr (# 1261)
Adderall is a Schedule II drug. State and federal laws that pertain to Schedule II drugs pertain to Adderall
Re: tim (# 1673)
Tim, you're judging people for judging and proposing rules on moderation? You've got your opinions about how people should and shouldn't express their beliefs, knowledge, experience, opinions? I Wouldn't ordinarily say this here, but your posts actually come off, to me, the most judgmental and cranky. The old saying rarely fails "if it bugs me I've got it.". Truthfully, I wish you happiness and satisfaction... and..
the people on this forum aren't your problem. We don't have to read any this. It's our choice. Censorship isn't what moderators do. Good luck.
THIS thread is turning into a parade of the disgruntled looney tunes conspiracy theories brigade. Keep talking like paranoid psychotics folks and you'll really do us all in. When "they" use your rantings as proof that their hypothesis --amphetamines make people paranoid and crazy -- is fact.
Oh sure btw....as of all doctors are responsible professionals with amphetamines, opioids, SSRIs, benzos, Statins, biologics, antibiotics ... Laughing my ass off on that one.... Welcome to the industrial medical complex...no country pops more Rx pills per Capita. Responsible?
Re: BlessedLady (# 1809)
Pharma comy haven't manufacturered 20mg IR tabs of dextroamphetamine sulfate in 15+ years minimum.
Guidelines are NORMS and without norms tx plans become chaos and the wild West. There is something to be said for responsible dosing.
Re: Leigh Law (# 603)
It means that people in NY abuse and sell prescription drugs way more than other states so they have to be stricter.
Re: John (# 637)
Its a test. The real truth is you can actually do anything you really set your mind to if you want to bad enough. The mind is a way more powerful drug than adderall could ever be. It was only meant to be used as a step a stair a boost to help to get the mind there to a state of believing you can. It wasnt meant to be an eternal crutch.
Method acting
Look it up
Re: BlessedLady (# 824)
Yes there are grounds for suit! Walgreens knowingly took new Rx orders for adderall when they could not fill my Rx order that has been there over a week. But since they make more money off of a new customer, who’s gonna get their Rx filled first?? Their responsibility is to fill my meds and if they cannot then they should not accept it from my doctor!
Re: BlessedLady (# 1078)
Working people are more valuable and in need of their medications than non contributing people. That's the reality of life. If you aren't paying your way through your life and sustaining yourself financially, you aren't a priority.
Re: kristen (# 1402)
Pretty sure your heart would explode taking a dosage that high. No legitimate dr. Would prescribe that much to a patient they they actually wanted to help.
Re: Rcma (# 1665)
Well said. No one said life is fair.
Re: Bill (# 1670)
Then say it's unjust, dangerous, uncaring, irresponsible, medically negligent, biased, ignorant etc. There are 1000s of ways to say it. In MY opinion (which I actually AM entitled to, with Constitutional protections), saying it's "unfair" seems irrelevant. That's my opinion and allowed to express it. Just like you're allowed to tell me to get lost.
Good luck -- I hope you get your meds and find happiness in everything that is. Because what is, is.
Re: tim (# 1735)
It depends on the area. If a area is high crime. They will not tell someone they do not know If a person is a regular customer. They do not have a problem saying what they have in stock.
Yes; the brand name dexedrine also does not work anymore. This is the Obama Chinese way.
Re: Rcma (# 1835)
My theory is that the US government is stockpiling amphetamines for the Military in preparation for war! They provide them to soldiers who want them in the time of war. This is one time that I really hope I'm wrong but it kinda makes sense with everything that's going on right now.
Re: Walgreens Sucks (# 835)
It's on back order. I hope they red flag you for that kind of behavior.
Re: Kru98386 (# 1414)
I can’t tell if you’re being serious when you say “she’s been great and reliable, she is not knowledgeable about neurodivergence and is very strict as I think she’s nervous about prescribing a controlled substance (how Adderall somehow got on the same list as OxyContin and phentermine is truly absurd. It’s prescribed to children for gods sake!).”
There’s so much wrong with that whole quote but we’ll start with calling your doctor, someone who’s studied longer in JUST college than you likely have your entire life, not “knowledgeable” about “neurodivergence.” A term I personally had to google to truly grasp the absurdity of what you said. Your doctor probably isn’t “knowledgeable” on said “affliction?/disturbance?/state of mind?” because of it not being an actual medical term or even diagnosable illness. Which leads into the reason why she probably seems “strict” to you or is “nervous” about prescribing a controlled substance. Obviously it’s because she’s essentially prescribing a narcotic for something she can’t even explain (nor would anyone without looking like they shouldn’t have a license to practice medicine in a first world country) if someone were to approach her inquiring about why she is even prescribing said narcotic and for what ailment.
That’s like prescribing Percocet to some perfectly healthy 20 year old because they claim to have chronic pain that no one would understand so don’t bother looking for the cause just give me Percs. I’m not even over exaggerating that’s an equivalent analogy to what your doctor is doing for you if your prescription is for “neurodivergence.” It sounds like someone watched the divergent series and then decided they wanted to be different but get narcotics prescribed for it. Also the reason why Adderall is in the same category as other narcotics, is because it’s a narcotic. They prescribe fentanyl to little kids too, they just have cancer. So obviously that argument is irrelevant.
Do you know what adderrall is? It’s literally just a mixture of Amphetamine salts, you know what’s also just a mixture of amphetamine salts? Methamphetamine. I think you get the point. I’m not bashing you wanting Adderall, I take it myself. I’m bashing the made up affliction and claiming your doctor is just lacking in some way for not knowing much about an imaginary disorder, then trivializing them being nervous about prescribing a narcotic for it. You should be bowing down kissing their feet for sticking their neck out so far. I just exhibited ADHD symptoms for mine so my doctor doesn’t have to potentially lose their license. Being lazy isn’t a disease, from everything you said I can tell you’re just lazy. I’m not bashing you either, I’m lazy, which is why I have ADHD for mine and it makes me not lazy.
