Adderall Backorder (Page 62) (Top voted first)

I take generic Adderall 20 mg for narcolepsy and there is not one local pharmacy that has it in stock. I have never had this problem before. The pharmacies are saying that it's on backorder from the manufacturer. Is anyone else having problems getting their scripts filled?

It took me 4 days to partially fill my prescription. CVS gave me 40-15mg and told me I would lose the other 20 because that was all they had. I was told to get my doctors office to call and verify they only gave me 40 & the doctor would need to write me A new prescription for the remaining 20 that they didn't have. 2 of the pharmacist said it was against the law for them to give me the other 20 because it is a C2. A pharmacist also recommended that I get my doctor to change me to a 10mg because they are more common and prescribe me to take 1 1/2 twice a day. Prior to CVS I took it to Sams Club and left it for 3 days because I was told the order would be in by Friday. That didn't happen so I tried numerous Walgreens and CVS throughout Orlando. On Sunday I finally decided to chat with Walgreen pharmacy online. I was given an apology and told none of their stores had it because there is a technical difficulty with the manufacturer and they all the store have back orders. I was also told that CVS has a restricted count on how much medication they dispense at a time but Walgreens doesn't. I'm not sure if that is true or not.

I do also have a friend who doctor originally wrote him 15 mg and his insurance wouldn't pay for 15mg but would pay for 10mg. So he took his prescription back to his doctor and got them to change it to 10 mg and got them with no problem.

I have no choice now. I moved to the boondocks but I have to wait until open season (November ) to change insurances

There is a Smart pharmacy in jax at beach & san Pablo and on Atlantic in Atlantic beach.

~ You're gonna LOVE this mail delivery program!!!! ya wont be stressed out every month running around looking for your meds! you can get up to 3 months at a time, your dr. just fill out script for 3 months worth! aaaahh! you're gonna wonder why ya didnt do this sooner! good luck n let me know when ya get it in the mail!!! =)

I doubt he will write for 3 mos at a time, i was going to mail just a single mos script to get filled, thats still acceptable correct???

oh yeah absolutely! 3 months is just the allowed amount you can get. doesnt hurt to ask'm tho! my dr. is the one who volunteered that amount so it'd save me $$ in dr. visits =)
let me know how it works out! did u go to the Costco pharmacy website & fill out ur info? that has to be done before they'll send you the meds!!!

ha! i been mentioning Costco mail order for 6 mnths now n i'm surprised ppl are still not doing it!
oh well, everyone must not really mind the run around n the waiting lol.

Has anyone had any problems filling their adderall 20 mg script in Jacksonville,Fl? I don't get a new script until next week but I'm so afraid of the pharmacies being out like last year.

I have found that the Lane Avenue Pharmacy has been stocked for the last two months. I transferred all my other meds there too. It is easy to get to, they take my insurance and they are quick. Lane and Normandy area

Yes adder all 20 mg seems to be unavailable in most pharmacies need to ask your duct or to give you 2 of 10 s instead

~ jUst wondering :) is there a point to your reply /comment? lol if Vyvance only comes in xr, so what? it works the same (if not better! for me), it works longer an almost just as fast. actually, it's aleady in your system so really there is no wait lol, an, it's definately worth the free price! c'8;
~ and as far as a TASK FORCE just for Adderall??? C'mOn!! really? lmao!

ya'll GOTTA START going to the smaller mOm n pOp pharmacies then if you're having that much trouble every month! they're awesome! they give you more personalized attention, know you by name an they'll go out of their way for you. i have had NO PROBLEMS here in SWFL. i'm tellin ya, either Costco mail order or the smaller pharmacies an guarantee you'd get your meds every month, withOUT jumping hoops! i call mine a day before an he orders it with no issues at all.

I use Harvard vanguard they are the only ones that have it in 10 mg. I also have my dpcotr there too though
